“Vaccine Protocol”
All our puppies are vaccinated at 6&8 weeks of age prior to leaving our home. The follow up vaccines will be up to you to have done at your vets office according to the following protocol. Please avoid giving your puppies the leptospirosis vaccine component at any time in their lives...doxies have been known to have adverse reactions to many vaccines, but this one in particular. You will need to mention this to your vet and insist that it not be given.
Our Vaccination Protocol:
After the one year booster vaccination, we do not insist that you have your dog vaccinated yearly. We are certainly not "anti-vaxxers", but feel that dogs are being vaccinated to the point of extremes. If your pup will be spending any time in a daycare setting, or requiring kennelled, obviously, yearly vaccines will be required. Where possible we encourage our puppy/dog buyers to have their dogs "Titered" (pronounced TIE-TERRD). Some vets will perform this blood test, which tests for antibodies in the bloodstream. It is used to see if an animal maintains their immunity to a particular virus, or if they require re-vaccinating. Many boarding facilities and doggie daycares will accept a titer test in lieu of a vaccination record. Please do your homework on this and be educated.
Please NOTE... Our vaccination protocol is imperative to the overall health of your puppy. We may request proof of vet records to show that you are following our vaccination protocol. In the event that a query is made about a possible illness or hereditary condition with your puppy, we will require copies of your vet records to ensure that protocol has been followed and all measures have been taken to keep your puppy safe and healthy.
IGNORING OUR VACCINATION PROTOCOL AND/OR NOT PROVIDING VET RECORDS WHEN REQUESTED MAY VOID YOUR 2 YR HEALTH GUARANTEE.
